MzVee’s [@mzveegh] excitement after #BET 2016 nomination

Ghana’s Dancehall/ R&B songstress Vera Hamenoo-Kpeda popularly known as MzVee is the only Ghanaian nominated in this year’s BET Awards in the Best International Act: Africa category.

Eight African artist were nominated in this year’s BET Awards. South African was represented by Cassper Nyovest, AKA and Black Coffee. Winner of 2012 BET Best International Act Africa Wizkid, and Yemi Alade will represent Nigeria. Diamond Platnumz will represent Tanzania and Serge Beynaud representing Cote D’Ivoire. MzVee has come up as the first Ghanaian female artist to be nominated for BET Awards.

This is her second nomination in a row. MzVee in an interview told her fans how excited she was about the nomination. She further went on to explain to her fans and critics that even though she has not done much work this year, her hard work for the previous year is what is yielding her the results this year. MzVee in her excitement has released a new song titled “music” to show her fans how excited she is about the nomination and how grateful she is for their support.
